No cheats or gameplay automation
No hacked clients, x-ray, freecam, autoclickers, cave or entity radar, automatic building, or anything else that plays the game for you or reveals information you should not have. Command and chat macros are allowed; combat, mining, movement, farming, fishing, and other gameplay automation are not.
Performance mods, shaders, cosmetic mods, ordinary surface minimaps, and Litematica schematics are allowed. Litematica's printer is not. If a mod falls somewhere in the middle, ask staff before using it.
No exploiting dupes or bugs
If you find a way to duplicate items, print money, bypass a claim, or reach somewhere you should not, stop and report it. Knowingly using, moving, selling, or keeping exploited items is punishable even when somebody else made them. Reporting an accidental discovery is not.
One active account per person
Your Java and Bedrock access may belong to the same account, but you may not use a second active account to earn extra rewards, hold extra land, scout, fight, or avoid a punishment. Different people in the same household may each play normally.
Buying or selling accounts, items, or server money for real money is not allowed. The official PlankSMP store is the only real-money shop connected to the server.
Keep chat rough, not vile
Swearing and ordinary PvP trash talk are allowed. Slurs, credible threats, doxxing, targeted harassment, sexual harassment, and telling somebody to hurt or kill themselves are not. Do not accuse players of cheating in public chat; use /report <player> <reason> so staff can investigate without starting an argument. Repeated public callouts after being redirected count as harassment. Public chat must be in English so staff can moderate it; other languages are fine in private messages.
The same standard applies to usernames, skins, builds, signs, books, and item names. Hateful or explicitly sexual content is not allowed.
Do not recruit for other servers
Do not post another server's address or recruit PlankSMP players through chat, names, signs, books, or private messages. Talking about another server is fine. Sharing your own YouTube or Twitch content is also fine when the content is about PlankSMP.
Claims are safe. Unclaimed bases are not.
A claim protects its blocks and the players inside it. Do not bypass the claim system or use a bug to interact through its protection. Building outside somebody's boundary, including walls, water, lava, or traps around it, is allowed.
An unclaimed base is completely raidable. Players may break it, take its contents, and kill anyone there. If you want land or items protected, claim them.
Outside spawn and claims, PvP is live
Spawn and claimed land protect players. Everywhere else, players may fight and death drops are part of the risk. Repeatedly killing or spawn-camping somebody who genuinely has no way to escape is harassment; winning a fight, returning for dropped gear, or raiding a base is not.
Scamming is allowed. Trades, loans, promises, auction listings, and market deals are made at your own risk. Combat logging, teleporting away, or reaching a safe area is handled by server mechanics and is not a separate staff offence.
Punishments and appeals
Normal offences use escalating punishments. Severe cheating, threats, doxxing, major exploitation, and serious harassment may go straight to a ban. Staff may adjust a punishment for the evidence, severity, and previous history.
A staff call stands unless it is changed through an appeal. Use support or the Discord, stay civil, and explain what happened. Arguing in public chat does not replace an appeal.
